Dolores planning commission moves comp plan session to Nov. 17
The town says the commission's Nov. 3 meeting has been continued to Tuesday, Nov. 17, to settle changes to the draft comprehensive plan.

The Dolores Planning and Zoning Commission has continued its Nov. 3 meeting to Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall, 601 Central Ave., the town said in a public notice posted on its website on Friday afternoon.
The notice gives one purpose for the meeting: “to determine changes to be made to the ‘Draft Comprehensive Plan.’” It is signed by Kelley Unrein, the town treasurer and clerk, and the town says it is also posted on the message board at Town Hall and on the town’s Facebook page.
A comprehensive plan is a town’s long-range statement of how it wants to grow — where housing, business and open space should go — and it guides later decisions on zoning and development applications. The Dolores commission has been working through a draft for months; it added an extra meeting on Oct. 22 for the same purpose.
The notice does not say what parts of the draft are still unsettled, and the town has not posted an agenda for the continued meeting.
Planning commission meetings are open to the public. The notice is on the Town of Dolores website.
