Fall Clean-Up Week set for third week of October
The city's twice-yearly bulk pickup takes large items that won't fit in a Polycart. Household trash is not accepted.

The City of Cortez will host its annual Clean-Up Week during the third week of October, offering residents an opportunity to dispose of large, unwanted household items that cannot be placed in standard curbside trash containers.
This event aligns with the City’s Residential Bulk Trash Program, which runs twice a year to help residents manage oversized items. All collected materials are either transported to the landfill or recycled.
Household trash is not accepted during bulk pick-up. Please continue to bag and place regular household waste in your curbside container. Bulk Clean-Up Week is intended only for items too large to fit inside your Polycart.
