The City of Cortez is holding an open forum on its proposed 2027 budget, so residents can hear where the money goes and say what they think. The city says the session will also include an introductory presentation on the coming Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The city announced the forum in the release in which it said the Cortez Municipal Pool will open in 2027 after all, and it noted at the same time that the budget schedule had changed: first reading of the budget ordinance is now November 10 and second reading and the public hearing November 24, both at 7:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.
