PUBLIC NOTICE – PARK AND BRIDGE UPDATES
The Town of Mancos would like to provide the following updates regarding public access:
Spruce Street Bridge and Cottonwood Park remain CLOSED to the public until further notice. All pedestrian and vehicular traffic is prohibited in these areas.
Boyle Park is OPEN to the public.
We ask residents to respect all posted closures for their safety and allow crews to continue recovery efforts.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as our community continues to recover from the recent flooding.
The notice is on the Town of Mancos website. The town closed the South Spruce Street bridge, which connects Riverside to County Road J, on November 2, and said the same day that Cottonwood Park would stay shut while damage assessments, trail repairs and restoration go on, work it expected to take several months. Boyle Park was still carrying flowing water at that point. The town’s notice does not say when the bridge or Cottonwood Park will reopen.
