The 2 p.m. kickoff at Dolores High School was the Bears’ second league outing of the season, and both have gone against them. They are now 4-3 overall and 0-2 in the league.
Dolores began the year with four wins in five games, including a 41-6 result against Custer County in late September. League play has been harder going: the Bears lost 13-32 to Mancos at the start of the month, in a game covered here, and Friday’s margin was wider still.
Their next game is on the road. Dolores plays at Norwood on Saturday, October 24 at 1 p.m., another league fixture, and the junior varsity hosts Sanford on Saturday, October 17 at 8:45 a.m.
