Mancos football beats Dolores 32-13 in league opener
The Bluejays won the 8-Man Mountain opener at Dolores on Friday night, moving to 5-1 while the Bears fell to 4-2.
Mancos varsity football beat Dolores 32-13 at Dolores Senior High School on Friday night, in the first league game of the season for both schools.

The 7 p.m. kickoff opened the 8-Man Mountain league schedule. Mancos is now 5-1 on the season and 1-0 in the league; Dolores is 4-2 and 0-1.
Both teams came in on winning runs. Mancos had won 45-0 at Sargent/Sangre de Cristo on September 25, its fourth win in five games, with its only loss a 37-6 defeat at home to Simla on September 12. Dolores had won three in a row, most recently 41-6 over Custer County at home on September 25, its homecoming game.
The two schools play again at JV level on Monday, October 5, when Mancos travels to Dolores.
Mancos next plays at Sanford on Friday, October 9 at 6 p.m., a league game, and hosts Norwood on Friday, October 16 at 1 p.m. Dolores is next in action at home against Sanford on Friday, October 16 at 2 p.m., also a league game.
