Dolores volleyball sweeps three straight to stay perfect in league play
The Bears won all three varsity matches in straight sets and are 15-2 overall, 6-0 in league. The football team had a bye week.
Dolores varsity volleyball won three matches in six days without dropping a set, beating Mancos, Crested Butte and Ouray 3-0 each. The Bears have now won nine straight and are 15-2 overall and 6-0 in league play, the only unbeaten league record among the three schools the Current covers.

Volleyball
The varsity team swept Mancos 3-0 on the road in a league match on Tuesday — reported at the time in Dolores volleyball sweeps Mancos, stays unbeaten in league play — then swept Crested Butte 3-0 at home on Thursday and Ouray 3-0 at home in another league match on Saturday. Its last defeat was on September 12.
MaxPreps has posted no result for any of the three JV matches that week. The JV team is 7-3 overall and 2-0 in league play.
Football
The varsity team had a bye week; the district’s schedule lists October 9 as a bye. Dolores is 4-2 overall and 0-1 in league after losing 13-32 at home to Mancos on October 2. MaxPreps has posted no result for the JV game against Mancos on Monday.
The district’s schedule also listed the San Juan Basin League cross country championship at Chicken Creek in Mancos on Saturday; MaxPreps carries no cross country results for Dolores.

Friday, October 16 is a double bill at Dolores High School: volleyball against Sanford, with the varsity match at 1 p.m., and varsity football against Sanford at 2 p.m., a league game.
