Dolores volleyball runs its league record to 4-0 with sweep of Ignacio

The Bears have won four straight volleyball matches without dropping a set, including Saturday morning's league win over Ignacio at home.

Dolores varsity volleyball beat Ignacio 3-0 at home on Saturday morning in a league match, its fourth straight sweep and its fourth league win in four tries.

The Bears also swept Montezuma-Cortez 3-0 at home on Monday evening, in a match that did not count in either school’s league record. The Dolores JV won that meeting 2-0.

Varsity volleyball is now 11-2 on the season and 4-0 in the 2A/1A San Juan Basin. The JV is 5-2 and 2-0 in league play.

A second varsity match on Saturday, against Sargent at home in the afternoon, had no result posted on MaxPreps at the time of writing.

Dolores is away at Mancos on Tuesday, October 6 at 6 p.m. in a league match, then home to Ouray at 4:30 p.m. and Crested Butte at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 8.
