Donna June Steerman

Donna June Steerman of Cortez died Friday, October 16, 2026, at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. She was born October 24, 1950, in Palisade, the daughter of Donald Arthur and Barbara June (Howard) Rants.

A graveside service will be held Monday, November 2 at 1 p.m. at Cortez Cemetery, 27440 Highway 160. Pastor Bruce Burkett of Lighthouse Baptist Church, where she attended for many years, will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Teddy Steerman, and by her parents. She is survived by her children, Dephine Sanchez of Aurora and Devon Whiskers of Denver; three grandchildren; and her siblings, Ruth Hover of Cortez, Wanda Holsey of Montrose and Arthur Rants of Cortez.
