Green waste is handled differently: town crews will pick it up at the curb, and there is no alley pickup. The notice asks residents to cut green waste to eight feet or less and set it on the curb side of the street, with leaves and grass in paper bags or cardboard boxes.

The town will not take asbestos, liquids, hazardous waste, paint, chemicals, oil, household trash, radioactive waste, construction debris or batteries. Salvage items it will take include stoves, water heaters, mowers, barbecue grills and metal scrap, as long as they hold no refrigerant.
