County Road G chip seal is done; watch for loose gravel
Montezuma County says the work is finished between mile marker 11 and Road 21, and Road & Bridge crews will sweep the loose gravel when conditions allow.

Road G Chip Seal Project update
Chip seal work on Road G is complete, but we all know what that means!
Loose gravel!
What can you do to protect your vehicle?
-Slow down! Keep speed down the first days/weeks after chip seal
-Increase following distance. Tailgating removes your “buffer” and puts your windshield in the spray zone.
-Avoid driving in other vehicles’ tire spray. Don’t follow directly behind trucks or cars that throw gravel.
Road & Bridge crews will return to sweep off loose gravel as soon as conditions permit. In the meantime, please slow down, back off, and enjoy that fresh, smooth road surface.
We would also like to thank everyone for your patience while we completed this project! With your help, we were able to finish without any incidents or injuries!
