Cortez police ask for help finding missing 16-year-old
The department issued a Missing Indigenous Person Alert on Monday afternoon for a girl last seen in Towaoc.
The Cortez Police Department issued a Missing Indigenous Person Alert on Monday afternoon for a 16-year-old girl who was last seen in Towaoc, and is asking anyone who has seen her to call.
According to the alert, which the department posted to its Crimewatch page at 3:58 p.m. on Monday, September 28, the girl was last seen in the 600 block of Mountain Sage Road in Towaoc. She was wearing all black, including black shoes and a black jacket.
The department describes her as 5 feet tall and about 110 pounds, with brown eyes and red-dyed hair.
