Bears scoreboard: week of September 21
Dolores football beat Custer County 41-6 on homecoming night, and varsity volleyball swept two more home matches to stay unbeaten in league play.
Dolores High School teams played four games between September 22 and 26, all at home, and won every one of them. Football is 4-1, and varsity volleyball is 9-2 and first in its league.

Football
The varsity beat Custer County 41-6 at home on Friday night, the Bears’ homecoming game and their third straight win. Dolores is 4-1 and has not yet played a league game; the 8-Man Mountain schedule opens next Friday against Mancos.
JV football beat Monticello 40-8 at home on Tuesday.
Volleyball
The varsity swept both of its home matches without dropping a set — 3-0 over Monticello on Thursday and 3-0 over Ridgway on Saturday in a league match. The Bears are 9-2 on the season and 3-0 in the 2A/1A San Juan Basin, first in the league.
Coming up at home: varsity football hosts Mancos on Friday, October 2 at 7 p.m. — the league opener for both schools. Dates and times can change; check with the school before you go.
