Bernice Pearl Scheller died August 26, 2026. She was born March 12, 1930, in Branson, Colorado, and her family later moved to Cortez. She and her husband, Ernest Scheller, ran the Scheller homestead south of Cortez.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, September 1 at Ertel Funeral Home, 42 N. Market Street, Cortez, followed by interment at Cortez Cemetery, 27440 Highway 160.
